This past week, U.S. President Barack Obama signed into law a new Travel Promotion initiative that seeks to advertise the U.S. to the rest of the world as a premier travel destination. The measure is in some respects a response to international travel safety concerns, and the U.S. hopes to see an increase in international visitors. If a trip to the U.S. is on your agenda, be sure that buying international medical insurance is as well.

The plan will not only promote the U.S.'s value as a travel destination, it will also educate potential visitors on the various Homeland Security policies so that they understand the rules and regulations inherent in visiting the U.S. from another country.
