  • Purchase international travel insurance within preexisting condition exclusion waiver period

    Author: Anupama

Q: I have made some payments for my trip but I have not purchased my flight tickets? When and how should I purchase my trip cancellation plan to cover my preexisting conditions?

A: The best time to purchase travel insuarance is right after you make an initial trip payment. Most plans exclude coverage for preexisting condition if the plan is not purchased within a specified number of days of making a trip deposit. You can estimate the expenses for your flight and other expenses you have not yet paid and include them in your quote for the travel insurance plan. If your actual expenses are very different from the actual expenses you can email us the details and we may be able to modify your covered expense amount.
